Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Shift: 12hr(Night)
Location: Lewiston, ME
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in Long Term Care, you will provide direct care to elderly or disabled individuals who cannot care for themselves. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and communicate with healthcare professionals to ensure the wellbeing of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
2. Monitor vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
3. Help residents with mobility and transfers.
4. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
5. Follow care plans and protocols set by healthcare providers.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
7. Assist with meal planning and feeding residents as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active CNA certification and BLS Certificate
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Compassionate and patient attitude.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
7. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
8. CPR certification.
